NY REGION OCTOBER 19, 2011 Suit Seeks Release of Police Commissioner's Schedule

A former Newsday journalist and current blogger who covers the New York City Police Department filed a lawsuit Tuesday challenging the department's refusal of his requests to release commissioner Raymond Kelly's daily schedule.

Leonard Levitt, who maintains the website www.nypdconfidential.com, had requested Mr. Kelly's schedule dating back to January 2002 in an effort to find out whom the commissioner had been meeting with and the subject matter of those meetings.
