No one was hurt when a fire destroyed a mobile home in southern Lancaster County Friday morning, an official said.
Fire broke out at the home at 345 Lamparter Road, Quarryville, at 4:18 a.m., according to Chad Graybill, deputy chief of the Bart Township Fire Company.
A smoke detector roused Alan Miller, and he went outside and discovered the fire under the home, Graybill said. He called 911 from a neighbor's home.
The mobile home was fully involved when the first of about 60 responding firefighters arrived, he said. They kept the flames from spreading to outside diesel and propane tanks, as well as a nearby home.

No one was injured, Graybill said.
Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 20 minutes, but not before it destroyed the 1968 mobile home, he said. Damage to the structure and contents was estimated at $50,000.
Graybill said the fire may have been electrical in nature, but its cause was undetermined.
