3. Twitter (free)- Users of this app can actively follow updates from friends and celebrities while having the one-click option to share Twitter pictures.
4. Skype (free)- Skype on the iPhone prevails over FaceTime video chatting due to its ability to perform without Wi-Fi.
5. Fruit Ninja ($0.99)- Students love the fast pace of this game that involves slicing through flying fruit while dodging the mixed-in bombs.
6. oMaps ($1.99)- This app with multiple zoom views and bookmarking allows people to easily travel from point A to point B without using the Internet. "The maps app for iPhone has been more helpful and convenient for getting around, even better than my GPS," Brittany Roberts, a freshman majoring in business marketing, said.
7. Fandango (free)- The Fandango app provides movie times and everything you need to know about a movie playing at any theater.
8. Scrabble ($1.99)- This fun game app not only allows you to conjure up point-earning words with friends, but now adds wordplay through Facebook.
9. Shazam (free)- This app is most useful for music lovers who just have to know the name and artist of new songs they hear while out and about.
10. iStudiez Pro ($2.99)- For organizing your tasks and handling your academic schedule, the iStudiez Pro app is perfect for any student. Freshman Neil Egan, majoring in political science, agrees while claiming that the app "helps me keep all my work and school related things together."

2. Fruit Ninja (Free)- Many students love the thrill of slicing and dicing in this fast-paced game.
3. Cut the Rope ($0.99)- Cut the Rope involves a little creature named "Om nom" in which the player must guide the candy from certain ropes into the mouth of Om nom. "This game is so fun and addicting to play, especially if you are bored," Mallorie Cobern, a freshman majoring in pre-nursing, said.
4. Words with Friends (free)- Just like Scrabble, this app connects you to friends while challenging your vocabulary. Users can also chat with opponents on this application.
5. Food Finder (free) - When searching for where to get some grub, the food finder is the perfect tool.
"I like Food Finder the best because when the munchies hit, you can always find restaraunts with no problem at any time", Jordan Santos, a sophomore majoring in criminal justice, said.
6. Gas Buddy (free)- Gas Buddy locates gas stations around you with the lowest prices. This app is awesome for students on a budget.
7. Madden NFL 12 by EA Sports ($6.99)- Madden stays true to the game with real players and real teams with extremely realistic and sharp animations.
8. FIFA 10 by EA Sports ($2.99)- This soccer video game also provides real teams with over 12,500 players from all over the world. "FIFA is just a lifesaver," Neel Patel, a freshman majoring in biology, said.
9. Cardiotrainer (free)- For those students who regularly hit the gym, the cardiotrainer app is perfect for tracking a fitness regimen and calorie intake.
10. FXCamera (free)- If normal pictures are too boring for you, this app will help you customize photos with many unique filters to choose from.
