And the role of Elvis Presley goes to ... Australian actor Eric Bana, who will play The King of Rock and Roll in the upcoming flick, "Elvis & Nixon."
Danny Huston is in final negotiations to play Nixon.
The movie, which marks the directorial debut of "Princess Bride" star Cary Elwes, tells the story of a bizarre White House meeting between Elvis and Richard Nixon on December 21, 1970.
Elvis initiated the meeting by sending the president a six-page letter asking for the visit and suggesting that he be made a "Federal Agent-at-large" in the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.
At the meeting, which was kept secret from the public until the Washington Post reported on it two years later, Elvis gifted Nixon with family photos and a Colt 45 pistol.
And Nixon? He made Elvis a "federal agent-at-large."
Even today, copies of the photo of Elvis shaking hands with Nixon in the White House are the most-frequently requested items - more popular than the Bill of Rights or Constitution, even - from the National Archives in College Park, Maryland.
