Audience 'All Shook Up' over Elvis-themed fashion show

Audience "All Shook Up" over Presley- themed fashion show

The Victoria Symphony League hosted the Elvis is Alive fashion show Wednesday.

NURSERY - Noelle Neskora was the center of attention as she strolled down the runway in her stunning Morilee wedding gown.

She glowed as she sashayed to "Can't Help Falling in Love," by Elvis Presley.

"Doesn't she look beautiful," Cynthia Guthrie said. The audience "oohed" in agreement.

Most brides don't get a verbal reaction until after the ceremony takes place. But the applause was only fitting for the 'Elvis is Alive' fashion show Wednesday.

The Victoria Symphony League hosted the event at the Spring Creek Place Event Center in Nursery. The proceeds will go to support the orchestra.

Several area businesses provided the models and clothes. Businesses included Bay Window, Blue Sky, Days Gone Bye, Foster Creek Station, The Palm Tree, Pidder Padder, Double D Ranchwear, Rendezvous and The Bridal Rail.

All models walked the catwalk for the Wednesday fashion show to Elvis classics.

Both members of the audience and models shimmied to the "Viva Las Vegas." To pay homage to Elvis' patriotism, models walked with an American flag to "An American Trilogy." It was a touching way to end the festivities.

Guthrie, who served as the mistress of ceremonies, selected the songs and gave fun facts about the King.

"I always try to tie in a little bit of history with music," she said.

Elvis Impersonator Chase Brown was a crowd pleaser.

He entertained the crowd with "All Shook Up." A group of auction winners even received a personal serenade, "Are You Lonesome Tonight."

The 27-year-old Brown caused some of the women to blush.

Brown, who lives in Las Vegas and spent the summer performing in Chicago, said he was happy to perform for his hometown audience.

Brown said he aims to get a reaction.

"That means I'm doing it right.
