STUDENTS have been warned they could face fines of up to £1000 if they continue to watch live TV online without a licence.

TV Licensing are reminding those who watch live TV they must have a valid licence, no matter what device they use to view programmes.

The number of students who watch TV live online has increased since last yearto just under a third, according to the latest research.
