Should You Buy New or Used Cars

Many people are hesitant to buy a used car until they see the staggering prices on the new vehicles.

It is amazing that many new cars cost more than houses 30 years ago. But for the conservative individuals or those that have modest income, buying a used car is an attractive alternative in our current market.

I have heard many people say that they are not willing to lose money the minute that they drive the car off the showroom lot. This can be a considerable amount of money. To begin with, do your research and find the model of car with the accessories that you really want or need and that is within your budget.

A good starting point is to check advertisements for individuals who are a selling their vehicles. They may be willing to negotiate more freely especially if they are in a bind  such as divorce, military reassignment, or simply cannot make the payments.

Always ask for a service plan log to verify that the vehicle has been well cared for. Ask for the VIN number to verify that the vehicle has not been involved in a serious wreck that could cause havoc at a later date. Last but not least, make sure that you have a comprehensive car insurance policy.
