NEWSDAY tipster continues to lead his peers in the race to this yearÂ’s championship title.

To date, he has selected 87 winners which is three more than nearest rival The Skipper 84 and Kelvin “N” next with 79.

To round off the top ten, Midas is in ninth position with 67 winners and is also in the same position in the points category with 446.

Another Newsday tipster David Carew Jr is fourth with 78 tips .

Musketoon is also lead joint leader the 15-man field in the points category with 557 points same as The Skipper.

But he is now trails another Newsday tipster DÂ’Spirit in the monetary area with a plus $385.20 to $319.30.

In this monetary category, NewsdayÂ’s four tipsters top the field with apart from the first two, Jasen with a plus $242.45 and Midas $216.95 follow.

Meanwhile, two of the four Barbadian apprentices who rode on Saturday last, created a huge impression on owners, trainers and turfites.

Antonio Whitehall was the star, winning twice — the opener astride the 11-year-old Super Grey and Get It All, was second with D Girlz Dem Sugar, third with Sweetie Jan.

And Antonio Perch has a second place finish astride Regional Princess and fifth with Little Roy.

The Farrier Workshop to be put on at Santa Rosa Park, Arima, begins today and continue to Monday.

The workshop will be conducted by international Hall of Fame veterinarian and professional farrier Dr Steve OÂ’Grady together with professional farrier John Ridley, and it is open to all farriers and other interested persons.
