Just the Facts: Kate Gosselin, the reality TV star whose Kate Plus 8 show was cancelled by TLC, has purchased an Audi TT-S two-seater sports car. She told paparazzi that she bought the Audi used and got "a great deal" on it before the show was cancelled in mid-August, but Gosselin was first seen driving it just after Labor Day. The purchase comes to light days after Gosselin told the media her fears of providing for her family in a post-TV world.
WYOMISSING, Pennsylvania — Unemployment looks good on Kate Gosselin. The reality TV star, whose Kate Plus 8 was cancelled by TLC, with the final episode airing Monday, has purchased an Audi TTS two-seater sports car, an unusual choice for an out-of-work mother of eight.
While she told paparazzi that she bought the Audi used and got "a great deal" on it before the show was cancelled in mid-August, Gosselin, 36, was first seen driving it, ironically, just after Labor Day. The 2012 TTS lists new for $47,875 including shipping.
The purchase comes to light days after Gosselin whined in the media about her fears of providing for her family post-TV and how returning to 12-hour nursing shifts wouldn't bring home enough bacon.
Gosselin's show began airing in 2005, chronicling the chaotic, yell-filled life with her kids, twins Cara and Mady and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel. Earlier episodes included husband Jon, whom she divorced in 2009.
Inside Line says: Kate Gosselin keeps finding ways to stay in the spotlight.
