Niagara Falls gets its reality show close-up Tuesday night

It’s been a few months since two large families and their ever-present camera crews made their way through the Falls — and tonight we’ll get to see how things went.

Niagara Falls will again be cast into the national spotlight as the season premier of the TLC reality TV show “19 Kids and Counting” will highlight the experiences of the Duggar family back on June 3.

As part of a two-part season premier, the episode entitled “Duggars Over the Edge” showcases the popular reality family on the Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds and Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours, among other locations in Niagara USA and is scheduled to air at 9:30 p.m. on TLC.

It wasn’t just the Duggars, they were traveling with the Bontrager family, who have 10 children of their own.

While they were in town, Mayor Paul Dyster presented the Duggars with a key to the city, noting he too comes from a large family — the eldest of 10 children.

“19 Kids and Counting” is one of TLC’s most popular programs attracting millions of viewers each week for a 30-minute episode.

The Niagara Tourism and Convention Corp. assisted in the planning of the Duggar’s visit, as well in coordination with the production crew from the popular reality television show.
