There’s talk in Denver that Willis McGahee’s 101-yard effort against Cincinnati could make him Denver’s main running back when Knowshon Moreno returns from a hamstring injury.
My thoughts? It doesn’t matter which of these two players starts, the Broncos will need both to be effective to have a strong running game.
McGahee, who turns 30 next month, had 28 carries against Cincinnati. He had 209 carries combined in the past two seasons. He will be better suited carrying closer to 15 carries a game than 28, so Denver will need help from Moreno as well.
