NFL Picks Week 2: Latest Odds, Predictions and Updates for NFL's Opening Week

It shed light on which teams are serious contenders and which teams should cancel the rest of their season right now.

Moving to Week 2, we already have multiple games of huge importance.

Over the last decade, teams that begin the season 0-2 have about a one-in-10 chance of making the postseason. That means we have 16 teams that have some serious work to do.

The Kansas City Chiefs were embarrassed in Week 1 and now must go on the road to take on a Detroit Lions team that is chalk full of momentum. Are the AFC West champs toast if they can’t steal a win?

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Minnesota Vikings will meet in a battle of 0-1 teams. Both teams are in “must-win” mode, as are the New York Giants and St. Louis Rams in their Monday night affair.

Drew Breesand the New Orleans Saints have to beat an impressive Chicago Bears team to avoid the dreaded 0-2 start. Will the extra three days off be enough to regroup after the track meet on opening night?

Then we have the two games of the weekend in the Eagles-Falcons and the Chargers-Patriots. All four teams have serious playoff implications, and these early season contests will go a long way in determining playoff seeding.

Look no further for all of the latest news, analysts, gambling tips and predictions for Week 2 of theNFL.

3:36 PM ET NFL Predictions Week 2: 3 Unlikely Teams Guaranteed to Win

It’s too early to panic.

No sport causes more overreaction than football. Just because your team lost Week 1 doesn’t mean the season is over.

The season is only 1/16 th over and there is plenty of time to turn things around. Here are three teams that put up disappointing performances in Week 1 that are poised to nab victory No. 1 in Week 2:

They looked pretty awful against the Bengals. Their O-line was dominated, the lack of playmakers was crystal clear and the defense made too many mental errors.

Good thing they play the Indianapolis Colts this week.

Indy’s offense is lost without Peyton Manning and moving the ball on even the porous of defenses is going to be a struggle.

QB Colt McCoy will make enough plays to squeeze a win out as the Colts march toward the Andrew Luck sweepstakes.

Erase Donovan McNabb’s 39-yard effort out of your memory banks. Sure it was brutal, but you can only go up from here.

Credit Minnesota for hanging tough with the Chargers despite having a non-existent passing game. The Vikings are a well-rounded team and have too much talent to drop a home game against an unpredictable Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad.

Expect the veteran team with a dome home field advantage to beat the young and inexperienced Bucs.

The fourth quarter against the New York Jets was brutal for QB Tony Romo and the rest of the Cowboys.

They have to re-group quickly with a trip to San Francisco looming. The 49ers had great defense and special teams in their win over the Seahawks. Yet Alex Smith and the rest of the offense still look horrible as they barely broke the 200 yards of total offense barrier.

Expect the Cowboys to create multiple turnovers and frustrate Smith into submission. Romo gets to shake off one of the bigger choke jobs in recent memory with an easy win.
