NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. — Niagara Regional Police say they are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery in the Falls on Tuesday.

Investigators said a man entered the Canadian Corps, 4674 Ferguson St., at 9:20 p.m. and demanded cash from an employee. Police said the suspect was brandishing a knife and pushed the employee to the ground.

The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing from the store. The employee was not injured in the incident.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Niagara Regional Police 2 District detectives at 905-688-4111 Ext. 2200.

• THEFT: Police are investigating a car break-in in the area of Niagara and Second streets. A 20-year-old man told officers that sometime between noon and 12:30 p.m. Wednesday someone entered his unlocked 2010 Toyota Camry and took a diamond ring valued at more than $2,400.

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 1200 block of 19th Street. Police said they responded to a “burglary in progress” call at 7:16 p.m. Wednesday and found a front door to a home forced open. The officers said small pieces of copper had been cut in the kitchen and bathroom.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 2100 block of Seneca Avenue. A 30-year-old man told officers that sometime between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday someone broke into his home by prying open a bathroom window. The victim said two 32-inch flat screen TVs, an Xbox 360 game system, a PlayStation3 game system, a Nintendo game system, a Wii game system, several video games, other video game accessories, two laptop computers and a pocket knife were taken.

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft of car parts in the 1100 block of North Avenue. A 44-year-old woman told police she had been storing her 1994 Ford Tempo in a garage for the last three months and when she went to check on it at 10 a.m. Wednesday she discovered that someone had taken the vehicle’s battery and catalytic converter.

• THEFT: Police are investigating a theft from a Buffalo Avenue plant. A plant employee told officers that sometime between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday someone stole four copper plates from the property.

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 1700 block of Tennessee Avenue. A 21-year-old man told police that sometime between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 2:156 a.m. Wednesday someone broke into his home through an unlocked window. The victim said an Xbox 360 game system and two flatscreen TVs were taken.
