Ormai la release settimanale è diventato un punto fermo ed un’ appuntamento immancabile a cui gli sviluppatori ci hanno abituato, ovviamente ci riferiamo a questa nuova MIUI 1.8.26 rilasciata questa mattina. Come ormai saprete questa è la release definita “Developer” e porta avanti lo sviluppo della ROM nella sua versione più sperimentale, diciamo che si tratta di beta ottimizzate di settimana in settimana che poi, una volta al mese, danno vita alla versione Stable.
Questa settimana avrete notato che molti dei vostri commenti e/o domande su MIUI purtroppo sono rimasti in sospeso sia sui social network (Twitter e Facebook) sia nei commenti agli articoli sul sito MIUI Italia, sul forum e forse anche qualche email, ci scusiamo per l’attesa ma negli ultimi giorni ci sono stati vari avvenimenti che hanno rallentato il normale servizio di supporto, tra cui il bellissimo ed emozionante matrimonio del nostro Mauro con Paola , per il quale sono stato impegnato in un discreto viaggio per parteciparvi, ma vi assicuriamo che risponderemo a tutti e, se qualcuno non avesse ricevuto risposta ad importanti domande, può tranquillamente scrivere a info@miui.it, saremo felici di aiutarvi.
Detto questo, riprendiamo subito il punto della situazione e veniamo a questa MIUI 1.8.26 (sappiamo che state aspettando anche l’Italian Pack per MIUI 2.3.5a ma state tranquilli, arriverà anche quello ). I punti salienti di questa versione sono, come riportati di seguito, un miglioramento relativo alle operazioni su touchscreen come spostaemnto di widget ed applicazioni, alcune modifiche all’ applicazione backup che adesso permetterà di eseguire una copia di sicurezza anche dei file relativi alla Galleria, all’ applicazione Musica ed alla Fotocamera. Infine vi ricordiamo che troverete sempre le ultime novità e gli aggiornaemnti in tempo reale sullo sviluppo degli Italian Packs all’ interno del sito MIUI Italia e sul relativo account Twitter nonchè sulla pagina Facebook .
Una piccola nota per i possessori di Milestone, il team di sviluppo MIUI ha reso noto che alcuni errori riscontrabili nell’ applicazione Fotocamera verranno corretti domani con un hot fix.

Recommended updates:

Contacts:

- Fix call multiple number of contacts, phone calls recently made show wrong details in log
Messaging:
- Optimisation of pop-up window and messages being marked read when replied to via pop-up screen
- Optimisation of Mms theme contains non-english characters limited to 13 words or less
- Optimisation to improve sending Mms and APN connection problems when sending Mms
- Fix where SD card is not present entering camera from Messaging causes FC
- Fix clicking on email address results in not being able to find email application
- Fix long queued mms messages lead to failure of sending button
- Fix editing contact information would not immediately return / refresh the updated details in conversations list
Phone:
- Fix issues with call waiting and call forwarding causing read errors from SIM card regularly
- Fix in some cases black screen during call on Motorola Defy
- Fix for PIN2 functionality and FDN interface improvements
Themes:
- Fix preview play button for ringtone playback did not return any sound preview
- Fix system cache not being correctly cleared resulting in icons for theme not refreshing correctly
- Fix in some cases when a theme is applied via SD card icons are not completely replaced for the theme
Music:
- Optimisation of music music suspend notification and new notification sound to continue playing
- Optimisation of the A-Z list to highlight current position in the scrolling bar
- Fix in some cases equaliser displays unusual problems
- Fix for some music files fail to add to media list
Launcher:
- Improved accuracy of touch screen operations. Movement of widgets and applications on launcher has been visually improved and made easier to understand
- Fix in some cases desktop icons and widgets overlapping each other
Lockscreen, status bar and notifications:
- Optimisation of toast visibility to support screen expressions / gestures
- Fix in some cases the pattern unlock will accept any pattern to unlock phone
- Fix application status bar will FC when changing toggle style
Backup:
- Added support for backing up Gallery, Camera, and Music data backup, e.g. Save music library, hidden folders and camera settings preferences
- Optimisation of third-party backup applications such as desktop icons
- Fix in some cases sliding up and down backup lists caused page to freeze
