Can I flash this ROM using Clockwork Recovery X.X.X.X?
You should install this ROM using Recovery 3.0.2.4. 3.0.0.6 also works. Remember the 3.0.0.6 is a modified version of 3.0.0.5, ROM Manager will show it as 3.0.0.5 but Recovery should show 3.0.0.6.
Do I need to (Fastboot Wipe, Format Cache, Format Dalvik Cache, Format...) before installing this ROM?
The team recommended wiping for Royal MIUI is from Recovery 3.0.2.4:
ADDITIONAL things you can choose to do include:
while in the engineering hboot bootloader and having ADB installed and running on your computer
open command prompt and navigate to your ADB folder (IE C:\ADB> )
Type the following: fastboot erase system -w
after this boot into recovery and proceed with step 1
FIRST BACK UP YOUR SDCARD TO YOUR COMPUTER. If you don't do this you could end up in SERIOUS TROUBLE . You have got to make sure that you have the install zip on your computer to transfer back to your sdcard or else you will be unable to do anything else. READ THIS STEP 3 TIMES AT LEAST TO BE CLEAR.
If you used GFree to root your phone, you have a file on the root of your SD Card called part7backup-XXXXXXXXXX.bin Back this up to your computer. Also, e-mail it to yourself and save the e-mail. DO NOT LOSE THIS FILE!
1. You do this in the mounts and storage and select Format /sdcard
2. select mounts and storage, Format /sdcard
5. transfer your files back to your sdcard
6. continue with the install step 1.
