Suspicious Man Seen near Two Memphis Schools

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis Police are investigating reports of a suspicious man seen near two Memphis schools that has allegedly been soliciting teenage boys for sex.

Officers were called to Kerr Ave and Elvis Presley Blvd early Friday morning on reports of a man trying to lure a 13-year old boy walking to Hamilton Middle School into his vehicle by offering money for sexual favors.

A short time later, officers were called to Kimball and Lamar Ave on another report of a man soliciting a 17-year old boy walking to Melrose High School.

The suspect is described as a black male around 25 years old, clean shaven, and driving a purple 2-door Chevrolet Cobalt with blue halo lights and a missing right front hubcap. The tag number could be 460-NKS, or some variation of those numbers.

Investigators added that the vehicle has been seen recently in the area of Rhodes and Perkins, and three other similar complaints have been made this year of the same suspect description offering teen boys money for sex.
